OUAA About Author
I live in New England with my young family. I’m a stay at home mom to two very active children. For all of you who are familiar with the stress of this job, I decided to complete an item on my bucket list and write a book. When I’m not writing, you will find me cooking, reading, shopping or being silly with the kids. In my opinion, one of life’s greatest pleasure is being able to get lost in a book.

One More Breath
Delaney Williams

My Review
Be ready to be wowed by this book i found it amazingly written the characters Leire a woman who has been through hell and back and hell and back again she has pretty much secluded herself from the world so she don't have to take the chance of getting hurt anymore . She to me is basically afraid of her own shadow. Then we have handsome best of the best Tattoo Artist who has his demons to that he deals with. Then one day in walks Leire into his shop and he can see in her eyes and body language she is one broken woman. There is something that just draws him to her can he help her break her walls down and trust and maybe even love and live life to the fullest again and just maybe can she help him to? I give this a 5 star read I absolutely loved it . A must have for your Library.

Sometimes, in the middle of the night, or the calm after a big storm, when the world seems new and fresh, when one can feel the rightness of the world falling into place, I forget. This is my favorite time; this is the point between old and new and the fresh and used. It is that point when I can pretend that I too am fresh and new. I can stand in the rain and shower off the old me, shedding it like the skin of a snake; with it goes the terrors and pain and I am left fresh. For a time. Then, I look down and see the scars, feel the terror and smell the fear. Yes, fear has a smell, a very distinct, very real smell. I am sure it is a different smell for everyone; for me it is lemons, coppery lemons. The fear I smell the most though is one that brings most peace.  And the sounds, oh the sounds that come screaming back into my head. They don’t leave. They never leave. They come screaming back, fast and furious, like a Japanese bullet train. Always on course, always on time. They crush me with the weight of the fear they bring with them. I have to escape. I need release; it is why I run in these early hours, in the rain and storms that other people stay out of.
I dress in my running gear and open myself up to the cathartic release I get from lacing up my shoes and I step out the door. I know I can’t out run my past.  I know I cannot escape the fears and pain, or erase the scars, but I can forget for a time. I can find that release. With each pounding footstep I feel calmer. I feel the terrors of my dreams fade and I can see the new day rising. What was done was done, I cannot change that. I am a new person now. New face, new name, new life. The run clears my mind and as I reach the end, the clearing of Aspens, with leaves now turning, looking golden and on fire in the early morning sun; I feel renewed. I love these mountains and their glorious, ever-changing beauty. The trees can be at once skeletal remains and yet grow, not giving in to nature, to become the beautiful fireballs before me, an amazing creation I am currently standing in awe of. Proof that life goes on; it continues. The world turns, the sun rises and sets and no one will remember what once was. Out of breath and energy, I lay down in the meadow and watch the sun continue its rise, preparing myself for another day. A day spent hiding myself yet being the most free I have ever been at the same time. Today, I start again...

Author Delaney Williams---

Gavril squatted before her, noting that she had removed the spit from the fire and eaten. She left the hare by the coals to warm and plenty remained, yet he couldn't muster an appetite. His breath rushed out in a white cloud as he skimmed a finger lightly down her cheek and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She shivered again beneath his touch. It was colder here on the mountain than their solitary blanket could warm.
He swore.
He shouldn’t. He really shouldn’t.
When he was king, he might not have worried about her comfort. Parties, banquets, women, and liquor claimed him then. He'd been too wild to worry about comfort other than his own. But the man he'd become cared. Without another thought, he tugged off his boots, lifted the blanket, and slid in behind her. He shifted his big body against her and pulled her close.
He told himself he would stay just long enough to warm her up. Then he would move back to the other side of the fire and keep watch through the night.
He told himself she was better off being a little bit cold than being held by a man like him.
He told himself he was a fool.
No woman had ever felt so good in his arms.
Gavril slowly stroked her arm as he thought back over her story. She had suffered. But if she hadn't come to Aquina, they never would have met. And that he couldn't think about. If he were honest with himself, he  wasn't ready to part from Shyla. Otherwise, he would have walked away, regardless of the danger to himself.
Shyla shifted, pressing her sweet bottom against his hips, as she settled into his embrace. Gavril thought he might die as his body immediately reacted. Blood shot to his groin, making him hard in seconds. It took all of his control not to roll her onto her back and kiss her right then, starting something he shouldn't — something he couldn’t — finish. Only his sheer will not to cause her more pain held him back.
With a ragged breath, he pulled the blanket about their shoulders, wrapped her in his embrace, and shared his warmth.
She sighed, her body relaxing against his as she absorbed his heat. Her hand settled over his, wrapped around her waist.
Gavril closed his eyes. In the two years since his return to Aquina, he hadn’t dared to dream of a future. He’d kept his thoughts firmly on surviving. On scratching out a living as best as a deposed king was able.
With Shyla, all that changed. Having her in his arms was like heaven itself. He felt like a man. Not a street urchin or a king. Just a simple man with a beautiful woman who stirred his body, mind, and if what she said was true, his magic. He felt lust rising sharp and hot, and, for the first time in years, a desire for... more.
He dreamed of lying before a hearth with her, snuggled as they were under a blanket, their bodies perspiring from an intense round of lovemaking. He dreamed of waking with her in his arms as the sun came through the shutters. He dreamed of growing old with Shyla in his embrace.
And he wanted that life like he'd never wanted anything before.
Gavril rubbed his thumb against her soft hand, savoring that small touch. He craved it like a dying man. In a sense, he was. He was dying of loneliness. Shyla’s simple kindness of taking him in eased that need inside him. Though he knew it was wrong, he soaked up every touch, every smile she offered.
As if she knew his need even in her sleep, Shyla wound her fingers with his and lightly squeezed.
He breathed deep, smelling the cinnamon scent of her hair, and allowed himself to relax. Heat from her body seeped into his skin.
With Shyla tight against him, wrapped in his arms, Gavril slept.

We get to what I hope is the last bar of the night. This bar is smaller, kind of like the ones back home. Out front there’s couple of guys on motorcycles talking and smoking. We get out of the truck, I look up to see where we’re going and I make eye contact with one of the guys for a couple of seconds. The grin he gives me is sexy, yet cocky. Of course my fucking face warms and turns red, he must have noticed because I heard a chuckle come from him.

“Come on, let’s get you something to drink!” Mel wraps her arm around me and leads me inside. There’s not very many people in this bar, which makes me happy. There’s music coming from the jukebox, it’s not country music, but I know this song, it’s “When I Come Around” By Green Day, this song was played a lot at parties back home. We find a table in the back and the guys go get us drinks. Mel grabs the darts, puts quarters in the dart board and we play darts.
A few songs have played, mostly rock, but when the jukebox starts to play “Porn Star Dancing” by My Darkest Days and Zakk Wylde, My skin starts to crawl, “Ugh, I hate this song!!” I say out loud.
“Let’s go put money in that bitch and pay back the bastard back!” Mel says and we start laughing. We walk over to the jukebox and put money in choose our song, “Kiss You” by One Direction. “That’ll teach the fucker!” Mel says.

Mel, Lucy and I start dancing by the table, singing along with the song. I start scanning the bar and notice it’s more of an older crowd in here, but I keep scanning when my eyes connect with the same eyes that met me when we got here. He gives me that same cocky ass smile. My stomach does flips and I’m ready to throw up. Him and his buddies start to walk towards us. His eyes never leave mine. When he walks past me, he winks at me and walks over by the pool table.
Fuck, this guy is hot, he’s tall, 6’0” at least, and he’s wearing a white t-shirt, baggy blue jeans and converse shoes. His t-shirt hugs his body showing off his muscular build. He has tattoos going up both arms.  He’s wearing a black baseball cap turned backwards, but I can tell his hair is dark brown, but fuck his eyes though, I could get lost in those dark brown eyes. There’s mystery in his eyes, but yet you can tell he knows he could have any girl he wanted.  He’s not my type but he’s hot as fuck, there’s no denying that.
“Damn it Emily, snap out of it! Ain’t gonna happen!” I say to myself.
